Jesse E. Wright, Attorney
Jesse is the founding partner and owner of the Wright Law Firm, PSC. Jesse was born and raised in Graves County, graduating from Mayfield High School in 1997. Following graduation, Jesse attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, he worked in the petrochemical industry as a mechanical engineer and his job allowed him to provide engineering support and project management for numerous construction and facility improvement projects at sites located throughout the midwest and southeast.
Jesse’s work as an engineer led him to Atlanta, where Jesse returned to school to pursue a law degree. Jesse graduated from the Georgia State University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in January 2009. Jesse is currently licensed to practice law in the states of Kentucky and Georgia. He is additionally admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
Jesse began his legal career in private practice working for a small civil litigation law firm in the Atlanta-metro area, where Jesse focused primarily on civil litigation involving construction, contract and employment disputes. Shortly thereafter, Jesse relocated back to Kentucky and began his own private practice in Mayfield, a successful practice that he built from the ground up. As a sole practitioner, Jesse offered services in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, civil litigation, collections, probate and transactional work. Additionally, Jesse represented children and families as appointed counsel in dependency, neglect and abuse cases.
Jesse continued to expand his practice and formed Kemp & Wright, PLLC, which remained in operation from 2013 through 2018. On January 1, 2019, Jesse’s law practice continued to expand when he formed the Wright Law Firm, PSC, now providing representation in a full array of civil litigation, personal injury, bankruptcy law (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13), family law, probate, business acquisitions and transaction, commercial transactions, and criminal defense.
Jesse is very active in his community and very proud to be a part of Graves County. He is a the current president of the Board of Directors for J.U. Kevil, Inc., a member of Youth D.E.A.L., and the current Board Chairman of the Graves County Board of Health. Jesse has previously been a member of the Mayfield Lions Club and volunteered as an instructor for the Graves County Teen Court and as a mentor for the Graves County LEAD Academy. Jesse has previously coached elementary basketball, little league baseball, and currently coaches soccer.
Jesse enjoys outdoor activities, bicycling, running, spending time with his family and pursuing his newest venture — triathlons. Jesse is also an instrument rated private pilot (inactive) and holds an amateur radio license.
Jesse is married to Heather (Boggess) Wright and they have two children, Zachary and Hannah. Jesse and his family reside in Graves County and are members of First United Methodist Church. Jesse is the son of Eddy and Cathy Wright; Heather is the daughter of Rick and Carol Boggess.
Jnanda Hargrove, Legal Assistant
Jnanda joined the Wright Law Firm, PSC in 2021 and brings with her experience from her prior work in the legal field and other areas of employment and self-employment. Jnanda has very quickly become adept at assisting with preparation of general warranty deeds, quit claim deeds, and other transactional business documents. Jnanda is married to Brent Hargrove and they have one child, Taylor. Jnanda is a proud graduate of Mayfield High School, is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and a Ford Mustang enthusiast.
